I was at a local 7-11 recently and noticed just how deep this Presidential election has gotten. You see, they not only have regular coffee cups anymore...they have:
They also of course have McCain cups, and then Independent cups as well. I saw these and literally laughed out loud! A man came over and began to make himself a cup of coffee and to be polite asked me how I was doing...I of course replied, "I'm just laughing over these cups they have!" he then looked and asked me who I had...simultaniously seeing me pour sugar into my Obama cup...so he said, "AHH, that's who's got your vote?" and i replied something about how both parties have their problems but it's up to you to choose...my generic response to people as to not get into a debate. After all, it's just a cup of coffee I was after!
ANYWAYS...as if the cups weren't funny enough...what really got my attention was this:
THIS IS HOW YOU COUNT MY VOTE?? huh?? SO OFF TO GOOGLE I WENT!
they are indeed counting votes whenever you choose a cup... go to this website and see for yourself! http://www.7-election.com/
and wouldn't you know it...Obama is winning 60% to 40%...and according to their "election", McCain has won ONE lone state of North Carolina so far w/ a 59% to 51% lead over Obama. Is this not some funny shit that 7-11 is doing!?
They actually did this last election and I just don't recall...but according to their website their poll in the 2004 7-11 results tracked identically with published national election results -- 51% to Bush and 49% for John Kerry (within a few percentage points of actual poll results in many states!)
Just a lil coffee for thought...
ps- thank you SOOOO MUCH Kel for the GREAT award...I will be sure to do my best to pass it on tomorrow...i'm slow, i know.

Jaime this is SO cool! You know I'm gonna be going to 7-11 tomorrow to get myself an Obama cup!! (and as a funny side...I just accidentally typed that as Obasma. He is indeed Obasmic, baby!)
Oh and also I love how you have balls of steel when it comes to tearing shit UP on blogs and message boards....but out in public it's all "oh both parties have their problems...it's up to you...feeble mumble feeble...." LMAO!!!!!!!

I love the election cups! I think that is so fun! I gotta say, my coffee would be going in an Obama cup as well!
how was the tree bark tea anyway?? bet they don't sell that crap at 7-11.

kel, according to some blogs we would be consuming the kool-aid in these cups...but it's cool you are open about your vote--cuz many people are friggin scared to even admit who they are gonna vote for these days! lol
and the tree is STILL in the box... i will be sure to let you know if it's removed from it- you know THAT will be a new blog post! but it may be a while...cuz i ain't makin no tree tea! lol
