We will be going there again soon...it was fun and the boys got alot of energy out. BAD thing is that they have "sessions" there and they only last just over an hour. they split the time between the 2 rooms. And afterwards they take everyone to a snack room and supply the kids w/ a drink and snack! Now THAT was a nice bonus...

i thought i would do a post on this past week's season premiers as it was officially "national stay at home week" according to NBC...or was it ABC? yeah, ABC.


HEROES: ROCKED!! i do remember that one and loved it..."Eat your brains Claire? That's disgusting". lol!

DWTS: it was ok...Cloris Leachman is friggin hysterical but needs to go, and Kim K. is seriously disappointing me. AND i'm not liking Lacey Schwimmer on there. oh well.

Ugly Better: I was really looking forward to this and was pretty happy w/ it...although nothing is sticking out in my mind.

House: didn't bother watching, i'm so over that show. for now.

CSI:MIAMI- i was switching back and forth w/ some other show and was really only interested in this premier to see if Horacio was killed off as HE IS THE WORST ACTOR EVER. and no, he wasn't. dammit.

can't remember any others right now...but i am looking forward to Desparate Housewives coming up soon! I was losing interest last season so I hope this season rocks.

It's Sunday night so this post is as good as it gets because Gavin is sleeping and i'm chilling- cleaning can be done tomorrow!

I have to give a shout out to Houlihans...for you non-Jerseyians and/or Easterners that don't know of this place, it's a restaurant. This was my first trip to Houlihans but i want to give several props to them for a few reasons:

- they gave us a booth and i have a 3 year old so that was damn perfect.
- the booths are really big and solid wood and can contain a hyper 3yr old very well.
- since the booths were big and solid (take that google analytics!) I could threaten *AHEM* i mean discipline my son without being over heard *ahem* judged.
****side note, can SOMEONE tell me how to do "strike thru" on words so i don't have to keep clearing my throat please!****
- I GOT CARDED FOR MY DRINK! yes i repeat I GOT CARDED...and was very happy w/ the waiter UNTIL he threw in this line: "You look younger than 35 so I have to card you" 35!?!?
Since when do you have to look that old to be carded? GEEZ! i gave him some good friggin advice though, "You could've at least said 25, not 35"!! Work for that tip, man.
- the manager was WAAAAY cool when we were finished eating and my husband just THEN noticed that he changed his pants right before we left to go out and LEFT ALL HIS MONEY IN THE OTHER PANTS. yes, we had no money. no credit card. no debit. nada. zilch.

So we zoomed back home, grabbed some money...and zoomed back to pay.

- props to the place for also being on a major highway so that while we were waiting for my husband to come back from paying the bill and my son had to pee, we got to pee on a tree w/ a great view of the highway. Hey, when you gotta go you gotta go.

Sunday my husband took Gavin out to get some gourds and/or pumpkins at a farm. However the "pumpkins were sleeping" according to my son so they came home w/ about 30 apples. I'm assuming he meant that that farm was not yet ready for the upcoming holiday...oooook.

any way i can make an appletini outta these? lol!

Delicious is an understatement! see? over half is gone in one night by me and hubby.
I bet you these skinny asses aren't sitting home staring at a box of Jumbo Cinnamon Buns saying to themselves, "self, i ALREADY HAVE JUMBO BUNS! LOOK AT YOUR ASS IN THE MIRROR!"

...and now I will walk into the kitchen and eat my bun anyways. Hey, I don't have a season premier to go to anytime soon!

Today I took my son to his Pediatric Pulmonary Dr for a check up...to make it short & simple, my son is high risk for asthma---but doesn't have it. he's been hospitalized once for respiratory distress and put on meds but has been off everything for a very long time. He had no asthma attacks ever, but again- they say he is high risk, basically thanks to my allergy history. Like Moms don't always put blame on themselves for everything anyways- let's add some more! Anyways, this post is not supposed to be about that...i had to share what my son insisted on doing the whole time in the waiting room, and regular patient room.

I wouldn't say I was crabby while on that trip though, however according to my hubby this shirt is PERFECT for me and so he got it- lol!

The day started out great! We got there and took a stroll into town and hunted down the horse and carriage ride- Gavin didn't seem as enthusiastic as we thought he would but it was very nice. Got to get educated on the ins and outs of carriage rides thanks to my husband's constant questioning-- no hate mail please, to those who think carriage rides are animal abuse!

We went for ice cream & back to get ready to head to the beach later in the evening. I learned something there as well--- my husband can NOT be converted into a beach lover. I grew up on the beach and love it...can play all day. Him? not so much. make that not at all. But my son and I had a ball and that's what matters.

So we go home after a pretty nice day...and then it is ALL DOWN HILL FROM THERE.

Hubby goes to convenience store.

Car dies.

I immediatly make myself an appletini.

Hubby walks back.

Get's jumper cables.

Walks back to car.

NO ONE WOULD HELP JUMP CAR.

Walks back.

I finally realize we are at my parent's (whom are away) and my dad's car is there.

Call Dad and tell him story- he says use his car to jump ours.

Hubby takes Dad's car to jump car.

Drives our car back.

Walks back to Dad's car.

Drives Dad's car back.

That whole episode (this is the highly edited version) pretty much killed the whole evening and we both go to bed pissed. Next day was Labor Day! and i have to say, thank goodness that this national holiday is rarely "celebrated" and that good old overpriced Pep Boys was open....because hubby was able to jump our car's battery once again and drive it there only to wait about 6 HOURS for them to install a new battery that cost more than some people's monthly car payments. But Gavin and I spent a lovely day together on Labor Day strolling the boardwalk and playing at the playground and eating ice cream for lunch...
