Sleeping Pumpkins
Tuesday, September 23, 2008
Sunday my husband took Gavin out to get some gourds and/or pumpkins at a farm. However the "pumpkins were sleeping" according to my son so they came home w/ about 30 apples. I'm assuming he meant that that farm was not yet ready for the upcoming holiday...oooook.
So after they got home w/ the huge bag o apples, Gavin requested that I make applesauce. Make applesauce? Can't I just peel an apple and he can eat it? lol! So now i'm on a mission tomorrow to make homemade applesauce. I've looked online for a few recipe's- Seems all i really need is sugar and maybe a lemon and a cinnamon stick. SHOULD be easy...i'll let you know! If anyone happens to have a good recipe that involves apples, i'm SURE i'll have some leftover for something else...so let me know!

any way i can make an appletini outta these? lol!

Apple crisp is the easiest: just cut up peeled apples in a baking dish and cover with a topping of oatmeal, cinnamon sugar and butter (I usually buy the box topping in the produce section then add more of those ingredients). My family LOVES it.

NO coffee...ever!! I'm going to go get a bottle of wine--the BF just called--he and his boys are back from his son's game earlier than expected. I promise to leave you 200 comments this week. :-)
